Hitachi was founded in 1910 by Namihei Odaira, starting as a small machine repair shop in Ibaraki Prefecture.
With a mission to “Contribute to society through the development of superior, original technology and products,” the company has grown into a group of approximately 300,000 employees with nearly 10 trillion yen in revenue.
Its founding spirit remains unchanged.
Today, Hitachi’s core business is “Social Innovation”.
